Note Design Studio transforms a Stockholm space into a creative haven for Lammhults Design Group.
In a bold move during Stockholm Design Days, Lammhults Design Group unveiled a showroom designed by Note Design Studio, offering a blank canvas for their contract furniture. But here's where it gets intriguing: the challenge was to create a unified showcase while celebrating each brand's individuality.
The Lammhults Design Group, encompassing Lammhults, Abstracta, Fora Form, and Ragnars, sought a space to present a cohesive yet diverse range. Note Design Studio, led by co-founder Cristiano Pigazzini, stepped up to the task.
The Norrlandsgatan 20 unit underwent a dramatic transformation, stripping down to its core before being reimagined. Johannes Karlström, interior architect and founding partner at Note, explained the vision: "A space to unite all brands, a powerful statement of the group's strategic synergy."
The showroom's interior is a masterpiece of contextual design, where products from various brands coexist harmoniously. Note's choice of materials, like rattan carpets and eco-friendly tiles, creates a subtle backdrop, ensuring the furniture takes center stage.
The color palette, a delicate dance of soft whites, dark red-browns, and deep burgundy accents, adds warmth and dynamism. Karlström reveals, "Each room has a unique touch, creating a natural rhythm throughout."
Lammhults' iconic pieces, such as the Geofanti sofa and the versatile Bao sofa system, find a home here. Acoustic panels and lamps from Abstracta, alongside Ragnars and Fora Form furniture, create a diverse yet cohesive environment.
The lighting, adjustable LED tubes, sets the mood, adapting to different times and events. Susanna Hilleskog, CEO of Lammhults Design Group, envisions the showroom as a "hub for creative collaboration and customer engagement."
Note Design Studio, known for their adaptive approach, previously designed a Copenhagen showroom for Lammhults, embracing the rustic charm of a historic naval base. This Stockholm-based studio, established in 2008, continues to push boundaries in architecture, interiors, and product design, leaving a unique mark on every project.
Stockholm Design Days, from Feb 3-5, showcased the city's design prowess. And this is the part most people miss—the event's impact extends beyond the days, inspiring and shaping the industry's future.
